Plymouth is a vibrant waterfront city with a rich history, which includes:
- the Mayflower Steps where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America,
- the Hoe where Drake played bowls before defeating the Spanish Armada,
- Smeaton’s Tower Lighthouse and
- The oldest working gin distillery at Plymouth Gin.
With lots of festivals and events taking place throughout the year, with a range of art galleries, museums and theatres and nightlife and with the National Marine Park there are a wealth of leisure and learning activities.
